Newsletter sponsorship calendar: hold, book, publish
A sponsorship calendar is a list of send dates with one sponsor on each. It works in a sheet until two people want the same Friday and nothing expires. Then the cell stays yellow and you can say yes twice.
Columns worth keeping
| Column | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Issue date | The Friday, or whichever send date is the scarce spot. |
| Status | Available, reserved, booked, creative ready, or published. |
| Sponsor | The name you typed. Not a verified identity. |
| Hold ends | The deadline on a maybe. Blank once the week is booked. |
| What you still do | Send the email, take payment, and publish the issue. |
When the sheet is enough
One sponsor conversation at a time, and you never have two maybes on the same date. Keep the sheet. SlotHold will not find you a sponsor.
When to put a deadline on the cell
Acme asked Monday. Northwind asked Wednesday. Friday still looks open. A hold gives Acme until a deadline you choose. Northwind cannot take that Friday while the hold is live. If Acme does not confirm, Friday opens again. If they do, the booking stays until you mark it published.
Compare SlotHold with a spreadsheet, or copy the hold emails.
